Objectives

VERITAS Bare Metal Restore 6.5 for NetBackup is an enterprise solution for rapid recovery of UNIX or Windows client systems. As a complementary product that is integrated with VERITAS NetBackup, VERITAS Bare Metal Restore (BMR) simplifies and streamlines the server recovery process, making it unnecessary to manually reinstall operating systems or configure hardware. With a single command, complete server restores can be accomplished in a fraction of the time formerly required. In this three-day, instructor-led, handson class, you gain the expertise that is necessary to set up, administer, and troubleshoot a BMR environment.

PreRequisites

Students must be proficient in Windows and Solaris system administration and with basic networking technology. In addition, students should be familiar with VERITAS NetBackup. Familiarity with VERITAS Volume Manager and VERTIAS File System is also an asset.
