This course provides comprehensive instruction of Oracle database backup, recovery, and restoration using Veritas NetBackup 6.5 for Oracle and the Oracle9i Recovery Manager (RMAN). You will learn to configure and use these tools to perform various backup and recovery operations.

This course provides comprehensive instruction of Oracle database backup, recovery, and restoration using Veritas NetBackup 6.5 for Oracle and the Oracle9i Recovery Manager (RMAN).    This course is designed with consideration to both DBAs and system administrators. A basic familiarity with operating Veritas NetBackup is expected. Knowledge of Oracle9i is desirable, but not required.

This course is designed for database administrators (DBAs) who will be responsible for the maintenance of Oracle databases within their enterprise environment and system administrators who will be responsible for the backup and recovery of systems within their enterprise environment.
