The Sun StorageTek 5000 NAS Administration course provides students with a foundation of knowledge and skills to work with network attached storage (NAS) systems, including being able to properly cable, configure, and troubleshoot basic problems.
PreRequisites
- Storage Fundamentals (WE-1017)
- Understand the Windows environment
- System Administration for the Solaris 10 Operating System, Part II (SA-202-S10)
- Perform advanced system administration on Solaris servers
- Configure Solaris OS servers to share file systems
- Be aware of event logging
- Perform network administrative tasks to allow individuals access to a Solaris server
- Set up shares in a Windows environment
