VERITAS Bare Metal Restore 6.5 for NetBackup

Objectives

By the end of this course, you should be able to

 

·         Plan for the installation of Bare Metal Restore.

·         Prepare BMR servers and clients for installation.

·         Install and configure the BMR servers and clients.

·         Create BMR shared resource trees (SRTs).

·         Create boot images for BMR clients.

·         Perform recovery of clients to identical systems.

·         Perform recover of clients to dissimilar systems.

PreRequisites

Students must be proficient in Windows and Solaris system administration and with basic networking technology. In addition, students should be familiar with VERITAS NetBackup.

 

Familiarity with VERITAS Volume Manager and VERTIAS File System is also an asset.
